Merry Christmas ~ My Dec. Newsletter
I wanted to let you know I’m taking appointments for Readings this week, Monday-Saturday, ~ 1-866-395-1340. Next Sunday, I’ll be leaving for Florida for 1 week and resuming Readings on Monday the 29th. I also have gift certificates available!
Now we all know that Christmas is really a holy holiday. Although not everyone observes the birth of Jesus Christ, other religions seem to celebrate their spiritual festivities around the same time, making this a season of family, friends, and charity. If you’re feeling stressed out and obligated you know you’re missing the true spirit of this time.
Interestingly, Christmas Day falls in the sign of somber reflection, Capricorn, while the holiday Season falls in the sign of Sagittarius ~ Party, party, party!!! Yes, we are meant to have a good time and share it with those we care about. Part of that spirit is gift giving. Let’s rejoice in giving and receiving. And with that in mind, let’s keep it REAL!
Is it egotistical to register at your favorite store? NO! Absolutely NOT. It actually makes perfect sense ~ One stop shopping! People know what to get for you and where to get it. If the registry works like it’s supposed to, you should get most of what you want, and not receive the same gift twice. This works especially well for the men in your life who can just go on-line, look up your registry, order stuff and have it delivered. For the same reason, it’s also a God send long distance loved ones. They never have to leave the house and can avoid the long line at the Post Office. For those who have limited time to shop, they know where to get a gift certificate for you. It’s a win-win all the way around!
Which brings me to my next question ~ Are gift certificates a cold and impersonal gift? Again, absolutely NOT! Everything’s a little less personal now in the age of technology, and quite frankly people just don’t have the time they used to. A gift certificate allows the recipient to shop for something they might not afford otherwise. Also, the giver knows their hard earned $$$ went to something the receiver will absolutely use and not wind up a future garage sale item. Again, this works well for men who like to shop last minute. They can just go to their local Super market and purchase gift cert.s for most major stores. They can have their entire shopping done in 15 minutes without worrying if they bought the right color, size etc. And it does not require any wrapping. Another win-win!
Now for those who have the free time but not the money, how about a homemade gift? I know this conjures up images of the lovely outfits Mom and Grandma used to knit and sew for you. Or perhaps you’re picturing the Volvo driving soccer mom acing her way through the arts and crafts store. Not so Martha Stewart? How about:
~Burning a CD of someone’s favorite songs? It’s entirely customized to the individual and costs probably less than a 1$ if you buy bulk.
~Making a Myspace page for someone who’s less than techno savvy? You’ve created them their very own website and a valuable way to keep in touch. Cost to you and value to them? PRICELESS!
~ Offering a service or a hobby that you’re good at? ~ A free Reading, Haircut, Manicure, Massage, Car wash, House cleaning? You get the idea. Just make sure you have the time to follow up on your good word. It’s great adverting for you at no cost. And of course, there’s always that sexual favor for that special someone!
If your friends enjoy alcohol and caffeine like mine, you may want to try making some homemade Kaluha for them. This is my gift to you!
KERRY’S HOMEMADE KALUHA (Auntie Linda’s original recipe from like 25 years ago)
4 Cups SUGAR
4 Cups WATER
Boil 5 minutes. Add a VANILLA BEAN ( Secret Ingredient)
Shut off heat and add:
6 Tablespoons INSTANT COFFEE
½ - 1 Bottle CORN SYRUP
When completely cool, add 1.75 L (The big thing) of VODKA ~ I use the cheap stuff. The flavor’s strong enough to cover. If you drink too much you might get a bad hangover, that’s it. It works well in a snifter, on the rocks, with milk/cream or in a White Russian. Also good in coffee or as an Ice cream topping. This recipe halves well too if you’re not that ambitious.
You can put it in a nice decanter or bottle for close friends and offer to re-fill it for them next year. Pour a little in a water bottle for co-workers, your hairdresser, your manicurist, personal trainer or Pastor. Oops, forgot someone is diabetic or in Recovery? It makes a great recycled gift they can pass on. A lot better than that fruit bread that’s been making the rounds for generations!
So don’t forget in this time of giving to include the gift receipt, and don’t write directly on the gift bag so your friends and family can re-use them next year! And remember, nothing says I love you like a gift certificate from KERRY for a free Reading. Call me at 1-866-395-1340 or email me at Kerry@zodiacbuzz.com. See myspace.com/kfezza profile or http://zodiacbuzz.com for details on pricing etc. I will be honoring P.E. prices for P.E. clients until February 1st. I want to give everyone a chance to catch up after the holidays.
Until then….have a safe and Merry Christmas! A peaceful and prosperous New Year! And lots of hot sex underneath the Christmas tree or by the fireplace!
Luv, Kerry 2008
