New Moons are times of New Beginnings.  That’s especially true for this New Moon in Aries.  Please visit Skybear Astrology under my LINKS and click on Astro Alerts for an in depth New Moon Report!
It’s an excellent time to make a ‘Wish List’ ~ write down exactly what you would like to accomplish this month or even this year ~ be specific!!  Why not make one for Love, and one for Money/Career, and one for Family, Friends ~ whatever it is that you would like to manifest!

Peace and Prosperity,

Astrologers note:  I use a solar chart beginning with 0 degrees of the Sun Sign on the Ascendant.  I then use equal house cusps, following with the next sign ~ 2nd House, 0 Taurus, and so forth.
So we have the calendar New Year, the Chinese New Year, and the official 0 degrees Aries point, shall we say, to start the Astrological New Year!  I like to look at mundane events every three months on the solstices and equinoxes to gage what our nation can potentially experience during that time.  However, you can also apply it on a personal level.
The Sun on solar Ascendant at 0 degrees Aries signifies a time to be selfish, to focus on OUR needs.  Because it’s in a square to Pluto in the 10th we may still appear strong and powerful but on the verge of crumbling.  We are in the middle of a huge transformation that comes out of tearing down and rebuilding.  I predicted the down turn in the economy last fall with Pluto’s entry into Capricorn ~ the downfall of corporate America.
The Sun’s sextile to the North Node in Aquarius in the 11th suggests it’s time for us to follow the example of others and foster friendships with powerful allies.  It’s trine to the South Node in Leo in the 5th, says maybe it’s time to pay more attention to our youth and their issues because they will one day be taking care of us!
Venus Retrograde in Aries in the 1st also reinforces the theme of self love and healing old wounds.  We’re stealing ourselves away to work on our inner conflicts.  Its same configuration to the nodes as mentioned above, supports the notion of healing our children and keeping them on track.  We can set goals, hopes, and intentions perhaps by using our friends as role models.  Venus’ sextile to 11th house Jupiter in Aquarius strengthens the idea of following other countries examples, especially those who have evolved out of similar circumstances particularly in regards to gas/oil shortages as evidenced by Neptune conjunct Chiron in the 11th also.
Our most public display of transformation can be seen in our economy.  Venus is in a funky aspect to retrograde Saturn in Virgo.  We are working harder for less money.  We’re going backwards in order to move forwards.  We’re downsizing and learning to live without as we review our spending habits.
Saturn in the 6th, trine the Moon in Capricorn in the 10th puts us on the world stage to illustrate how we can re-build, re-structure, and re-establish ~ our work force, our health care system, and our overall existence.  While the Moon sextiles Mercury conjunct Uranus in the 12, Saturn opposes them.  We may experience some unexpected help from sources that wish to remain anonymous.  At the same time we can run into challenges from hidden enemies, and/or institutions such as hospitals and higher education facilities.  And it should finally become apparent that mental health concerns need to be addressed as importantly as physical health issues.  Mars in Pisces in the 12th reinforces these themes.  However, it’s sextile to Pluto suggests it may force us to take action in unforeseen ways ??   We may also benefit from prominent, powerful, yet secret sources.
I’ve spoken many times on my radio show appearances this year about Jupiter in Aquarius and what a beautiful metaphor it is for our new government and the imminent changes up on us!  It’s conjunction to Neptune and Chiron, in the same sign as the North Node lends hope for healing our fuel crisis.  It looks like a large portion of our energy supply will continue to come from foreign sources.
While Aquarius can be reluctant to change, it’s still a very open minded, progressive sign that is prone to alternative choices.  What impressed me most with the Vernal Equinox chart is this configuration in its natural 11th house, provides us with an awesome opportunity to emulate other nations who have come through difficult times.  We can look to them to inspire us in new directions.
Since we tend to set an example for the world anyway, by joining forces and establishing mutual respect, we can grow and prosper as part of the global community!

Venus goes retrograde on the 6th but if you include the ‘shadow’ periods like I do, we’re already in it.  Venus retrograde can bring a past love back into your life ~ significantly for Aries,  Libra, Sagittarius, and Taurus.  It can sometimes be a ‘reversal’ of fortune so watch your pennies!  Like Mercury retrograde it has to do with re-doing, reviewing, and re-connecting.  Be careful initiating contracts/documents that involve large sums of money or starting significant projects.
Just a reminder, if you know your Rising & Moon sign, read those too.  Especially refer to your Rising sign for relationship updates.

PISCES
Happy Birthday to the most enigmatic, charismatic, artistic, and empathetic sign of the Zodiac!
You’re continuing in a long period of spiritual enlightenment or “psychic” awakening ~ A better alternative to denial which can foster addiction.  Your subconscious is dealing with old hurts by opening up your psyche! Pay attention to visions as they will guide you to your destiny.  Your natural intuition has the ability to expand beyond your deepest dreams this year.
You’re spreading your wings on all different levels and will want the freedom to explore new horizons.  This may entail using unusual or unconventional means ~ thinking outside the box!  Mid month sees you with more energy  and stamina to test your limits.
Your desire for independence, mind, body, and soul, can pose a challenge for partners or those closest to you.  Significant others are dealing with their own issues but in much more traditional and conservative ways. They are in a period of retrospection and self-growth.  As a result, they may seem emotionally unavailable.  It’s just two different mind sets and life style perspectives this year.
Friendships and group dynamics are also going through a major transformation.  Your close ties are experiencing deep, profound changes too.  Because you are naturally sensitive to everyone’s vibrations, be careful not to pick up others troubles or energies.  Offer them your wisdom and insight.  It’s a good time to remain detached.
Your own unique and changing ways can pose problems with employers who might see you as unpredictable or unreliable.  You’ll also want to pay attention to your health.
Financially, things continue to be beneficial for the next 3 months if you watch your spending.  A review is in order and you may look to complete past projects for further income.  You’ll also be taking stock of your personal values and things that are valuable to you.
Everything you desire this year is within the realm of your imagination!
